Gary and Karen Campbell – SALEM – Memorial

The sympathetic and caring Dr Buchanan assisted sweet Salem with his peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while loved and comforted in his own home. His loving owners Gary and Karen shared some beautiful words and photos of their baby boy. The first picture is of their other baby they lost a few years back

There is never enough to say about this guy. He was the ultimate “friend”. He never met a kitten, cat, dog, or person that he didn’t like. He was always there to share his space with them and to do so in the kindest way. He was welcoming and friendly and an all-around great companion. At one time, he actually groomed and shared his love with some kittens (whether they wanted it or not!). He was an awesome Foster Dad! He was often coming over to say hello with a lick (or occasional nibble). He always brought a smile to our faces and helped add so much to the joy of our house. He remained steadfast and calm through anything going on around him. He was never one to complain and spent his entire life-giving love and sharing a loud purr that couldn’t be ignored. You will be missed but held forever in our hearts and memories! Love you, buddy!

Every day though we cry with you, we are blessed to be able to be there in these moments here at Sugar’s Gift!

Until We Meet Again…

Debbie Postma – ZOE MICHELLE – Memorial

The understanding and empathetic Dr Buchanan assisted sweet Zoe Michelle with her peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while at home with love. Her mom Debbie had the following tribute to share about her girl!

My Golden angel, my heart, she saved me so many times. Everyone who knew her loved her. It has been my life’s privilege to be her mommy. I have never taken a second of that for granted. She deserves to walk the streets of gold and have pup cups and kleenex at her every whim. My heart is shattered to let her go, but my love for her to not suffer must override my pain and loss. She & I have pledged our eternal bond and commitment that we will forever be together now and all of eternity!

Our team at Sugar’s Gift holds all these sweet angels and their families in our hearts forever.

Until We Meet Again…

Madeline Bigos – SALEM – Memorial

The patient and understanding Dr. Buchanan assisted sweet Salem with her peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while in the comfort of her home with those she loved. Her mom Madeline shared the following heartfelt words about her experience and some precious photos.

There are no words that can truly express our gratitude to Sugar’s Gift. Just two weeks after our beloved cat, Salem, was diagnosed with lymphoma, her condition declined rapidly into end stage liver failure. Having to make the decision to let her go was one of the hardest things we’ve ever done. Thanks to Sugar’s Gift, Salem was able to spend her final moments in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by the people who loved her most. She crossed the rainbow bridge on 7/8/26.

From the moment Dr. Buchanan arrived, she treated Salem, our family & our dogs with such incredible compassion, gentleness, and dignity. She never rushed us, explained the process to us with kindness, and gave us the time and space we needed to say goodbye. Although our hearts are broken, knowing that Salem passed peacefully, free from pain and fear, has brought us so much comfort.

Thank you for making such an unbearable day a little more bearable. Your kindness, empathy, and genuine care for both Salem and our family will never be forgotten. You gave our sweet girl the peaceful goodbye she deserved, and for that we will be forever grateful.

These words and the meaning behind them truly express why we do what we do at Sugar’s Gift. Every animal and family member deserves to go peacefully and with love.

Until We Meet Again…
