The sympathetic and caring Dr Buchanan assisted sweet Salem with his peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while loved and comforted in his own home. His loving owners Gary and Karen shared some beautiful words and photos of their baby boy. The first picture is of their other baby they lost a few years back 🥲

There is never enough to say about this guy. He was the ultimate “friend”. He never met a kitten, cat, dog, or person that he didn’t like. He was always there to share his space with them and to do so in the kindest way. He was welcoming and friendly and an all-around great companion. At one time, he actually groomed and shared his love with some kittens (whether they wanted it or not!). He was an awesome Foster Dad! He was often coming over to say hello with a lick (or occasional nibble). He always brought a smile to our faces and helped add so much to the joy of our house. He remained steadfast and calm through anything going on around him. He was never one to complain and spent his entire life-giving love and sharing a loud purr that couldn’t be ignored. You will be missed but held forever in our hearts and memories! Love you, buddy!

Every day though we cry with you, we are blessed to be able to be there in these moments here at Sugar’s Gift!
    Until We Meet Again…

The compassionate and caring Dr Buchanan assisted sweet Tatum with her peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by love . Her mom Debbie had the following beautiful words to share about her girl.

Tatum came into our lives shortly after we moved to Bradenton from Orlando. My good friend is a veterinarian in Orlando and a homeless man brought a puppy in to her hospital and said he could no longer care for her. She called me and said “I have seen A LOT of puppies in my day, but this one is special.” We drove to Orlando the next day and she has brought love and joy to our family for the last 15 1/2 years. We joke that she doesn’t do normal dog things – no cuddling, no swimming, no playing fetch and no doing her business in our yard (she had to walk at least a quarter mile before relieving herself. LOL) BUT she was smart and fast and fun and oh so sweet! There will never be another one like you. We love you Tatum and will miss you. Run free sweet girl!

We are honored and so blessed to be able to help such sweet angels and their wonderful owners.

The caring and compassionate Dr Buchanan assisted sweet Henry with his peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while with his loving family in the comfort of his home. His mom, Britnie had the following beautiful words to share about her baby.

Henry is the undisputed king and self-appointed security guard of the house. He takes his patrol duties very seriously and always needs to know exactly what everyone is doing at all times. If there’s a strange noise, a crying baby, or any kind of chaos, Henry is immediately on the scene to investigate and supervise.

He has the personality of a grumpy old man mixed with a tiny lion. He’s protective, dramatic, opinionated, and somehow still incredibly lovable. He likes affection on his terms, believes personal space is optional, and runs the house like he pays the bills.

One of Henry’s most legendary traits is his passionate love affair with blankets. Not only does he “love” them, but he proudly drags them through the house afterward like trophies from a successful hunt. Nothing says ‘alpha male’ quite like hauling a blanket twice your size down the hallway at 2 a.m.

He’s been such a huge personality in our home for years, and there will truly never be another cat like Henry.
We are so honored at Sugar’s Gift to be able to help such incredible fur babies and the wonderful owners that love them

The empathetic and understanding Dr Buchanan assisted sweet Gunnar with his peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while surrounded by love by his family. His loving owners Scott and Roseann shared the following beautiful words and photos with us of their handsome boy.

Gunner is a true Doberman—sweet, “Velcro,” and very protective. He is my best boy and deeply loves his dad, as well as his companions Harley, Nuncio, and Ginger.

Some of his favorite things include long runs in open spaces, new stuffed toys, and digging in water puddles. He has always been a wonderful traveler who loves car rides, especially when we go to visit family in Lake Mary. I am going to miss him forever.

We hold all of the sweet angels that we assist in our hearts forever at Sugar’s Gift and we are forever grateful for their families that reach out and bless our hearts.

The patient and empathetic Dr. Buchanan assisted sweet Davidson with his peaceful passing over the Rainbow Bridge while surrounded by love at home. The family’s son had the following beautiful tribute to share about their boy.
I see you, little one, curled up with the rest of your litter. Your breeders have named you River, but we’re going to call you Davidson.

You don’t know it yet, but you have a new sister who you’ll grow to love very much. Her name is Harley and she will teach you. Teach you how to love and protect your family, how to behave, and, most importantly, how to play.

What she can’t teach you, what will come to define you, is a patience unlike any other. You will not exercise patience in the sense of perseverance through something uncomfortable. Nothing so base. No, you will simply never know discomfort. Your soul will be fulfilled by the love of those around you and nothing more, and everything about you will be shaped as such. Your body will be impossibly soft with a stature that makes people feel safe and secure. Your face, large and bear like, with enough squish and goo on you to inspire the hearts of toddlers everywhere. And your temperament will endear you to everyone and everything around you.

And with these assembled tools you will live a long and happy life. And then it will end, and you will be remembered.
But for now, River, sleep there with your littermates. Let life come to you.

    We love you Davidson
